Bible Studies

Psalm 119:105, ESV:  “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV:  “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

John 17:17, ESV:  “Sanctify them in the truth;  your word is truth.”

Romans 10:17, ESV:  “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Based on what God says in His Word about His Word, it is good and important to regularly spend time reading and studying the Holy Scriptures. They point us to Jesus—our crucified and risen Savior.

Pastor leads a Bible study on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for an hour.  Coffee and treats are provided.

We begin with prayer—that the Holy Spirit will bless our study and enable us to understand and believe what we are reading and discussing.

What do we study?  Sometimes, we pick a book of the Bible and go through it from start to finish.  Other times, we choose a topical study on a subject of interest. Sometimes, our studies use videos or other prepared materials.  Other times, materials are prepared by Pastor for our use.

No matter what we study, there’s always time for questions and comments.

As we begin each study with prayer, so also do we end with it.  Pastor receives prayer requests and prays for individuals in need.  We finish by together praying the Lord’s Prayer.
