From a small gathering of families to a congregation rooted deeply in the Northwoods community, our history reflects God's faithfulness through every chapter. Explore the milestones that have shaped Peace Lutheran Church.
Congregation Accepted into the LCMS
President Rollie Radtke signed the Constitution of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), signifying the official acceptance of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church into the LCMS. Rev. Arleigh Lutz was the official at the rite of acceptance.
Peace Lutheran’s First Pastor
Vicar Rick Lovick was ordained and installed as pastor of Peace Lutheran Church by Rev. Arleigh Lutz. Pastor Lovick continued to serve until October 2003.
New Building Completed
A dedication and reception were held to celebrate this lasting symbol of the congregation’s shared commitment to faith.
Peace Lutheran’s Second Pastor
Pastor Jon Cluppert was installed as the new pastor of Peace Lutheran Church. He continued serving as pastor until October 2020.
Dedication of the New Fellowship Hall
A new fellowship hall was added to the church, creating space for meals, gatherings, and community outreach events that continue today.
Peace Lutheran’s Third Pastor
Pastor Jon Rathjen was installed as the new pastor at Peace Lutheran Church.
Stained Glass Windows Added
Peace Lutheran’s first stained glass window, “The Good Shepherd,” was installed in the sanctuary.
